Use Jp Bullet Witch Costumes/Missions on US version

costumes

Bullet Witch is finally out in the US, but none of the extra costumes & missions are available. You know the Japanese have the additional costumes/missions already so you log into your Jp account (Hey, we know you have one. How else can you get the Armored Core 4 demo early?) and download the files. No problem, they’re all free. You load up Bullet Witch and… it can’t find them. WTF!?

Well, the US version of Bullet Witch carries a new folder number (494707DB) and your files are saved to the Japanese folder number (434107D1). So what do you do? Easy! If you have the Datel transfer kit (attached XSATA or free-standing XPORT), you can port them over.

  • Extract folder 434107D1 from Partition 3 > Content > 434107D1
  • Change the folder number to 494707DB
  • Insert folder 494707DB back into Partition 3 > Content

And you are all done. You can now access the additional costumes from the Options menu. Beats waiting on Atari, doesn’t it?

Now… how about doing this for ALL games with unlocker codes that activate content like the DDR Universe song packs that are already on the disc?

 Thanks a bunch for the info.

I played through the game this weekend and I am really disappointed nothing was unlockable from the start.

I wish there was at least one costume given to you for beating the game.

Heya, I’m interested in your find with the Datel Transfer Kit and Bullet Witch, I personally can’t seem to complete the data editing process myself. Wondering if you could update the instructions with alittle more step by step details. Basically, I’ve transfered my data to my com, but I don’t see any folders or numeral files, just two files: a Z36 file and a text document (telling me how to use the DTK). Should I open the Z36 in a certain way? I personally don’t know.

Any of that sound familiar when you first messed with it? Thx for the help.
